Annual Conference and Ball

The 1958 Society Annual Conference and Ball brings together Mersey orthopaedic trainees, trainers and invited guests to share knowledge, celebrate achievement and strengthen friendships across the region. The event is usually run on the first Friday of July every year.

Organised by the Society’s committee and supported by industry sponsorship, the conference provides a platform for trainees to showcase their research, quality improvement and educational projects. It is an opportunity to share ideas, learn from colleagues and recognise the work being undertaken throughout the rotation. An invited guest speaker adds a fresh perspective, offering insights and inspiration from their own experience.

The Society’s prizes are awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions and achievements, celebrating the commitment and talent within our training community.

The evening ball rounds off the occasion with dinner and celebration, giving colleagues the chance to catch up beyond the clinical setting. Together, the conference and ball reflect the Society’s commitment to education, excellence and camaraderie. We hope you will join us in celebrating our work and the people behind it.
